Fall Recruitment

We are happy to announce a fantastic beginning of the season once again for SDSU Men’s Crew here in beautiful San Diego.  This year we have a new addition to the team: Coach Toby Johnson of Sacramento has moved down and taken over the position of our new Head/Varsity Coach. Coach Johnson has many years experience in the world of crew as well as many years as an experienced coach. With the few weeks he has been in the area and with the program we are happy to say he has already meshed right in with the Aztec ideal of the “Pursuit of Excellence”.

Our returning varsity squad total thirty experienced rowers and six coxswains. After our first recruitment push last week we have also gained thirty novice athletes and we are excited to add to that number after tonight’s recruitment meeting. Our meeting will be at 4:30 PM in the AMC meeting rooms outside of the Aztec Recreation Center on campus, August 5th.

Our race schedule will be posted in the coming days so please check in to mark the events on your calendars!

The team would like to thank you all for your support as we carry on the Aztec traditions of Men’s Crew.

Regards,

The Athletes of Men’s Crew
