Head Coach Toby Johnson Resigns

Toby Johnson

We would like to congratulate Coach Toby Johnson on his new position as the full-time Boat Master for University of Texas Women’s Rowing. Coach Johnson has accepted the full-time position and will be leaving the team this week. He leaves us after a wildly successful 2015 season that ended in a trip to the 2015 ACRA National Championships in Georgia.

As we wish him the best, we would like to take the opportunity to call on alumni and friends of this team to reach out to qualified candidates to begin the next era in Aztec Rowing. The team will be hiring a volunteer coach as soon as possible. We will be hiring an unpaid volunteer coach to fill our immediate needs while beginning a nationwide search for our next head coach. Candidates are welcome to apply until the position is filled. Qualified candidates are invited to apply here.

We will be posting the Head Coach position10523790_10206001102376683_3768991185584247020_n as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime the team will double-down its training efforts while under the supervision and expertise of Novice Coach Julia Gamache.
