We head back to Newport to compete for the Gruenberg Cup (men). We’ll be racing 8’s again as well as 4’s for the first time this season.

Cal Challenge, one of our favorite races of the year features multiple races for each team. These 1400-meter races will take place against a pool of 13 other teams! The races will also be live-streamed so you can watch from home! Click here to watch from home

Berg Cup is a women’s only race in Newport, CA. Our women will be competing against OCC, UCSD, and USD.

Following Berg Cup, our men’s team will compete in the Newport Harbor channel in this men’s only race. They will be competing against OCC, UC Irvine, Long Beach State, LMU, and ASU.

Our biggest race of the year is Crew Classic! Racing starts Friday afternoon and stretches until Sunday afternoon. If you’re in the area make sure to stop by and cheer on Aztec Rowing!

For our last race of the season the team will be traveling to Sacramento, CA. We will be competing against all of the teams in our region on both Saturday and Sunday depending on placement.

H-Del Beekley Foundation Annual Golf Tourney gives rowers and coxswains the opportunity to network with alumni while competing on a 18 hole course.

SDSU Rowing is hosting an early screening of the upcoming movie, The Boys In The Boat! Directed by George Clooney and set to release on December 25th, we have 98 seats to share to bring this incredible story to you before it’s released to the rest of the world.

When: Tuesday, December 12, 2023

Time: 7:30pm, Check in will begin at 7:00pm at our table at the theater entrance

Check-in:

Check-in begins at 7:00pm and will go until the screening begins at 7:30pm. We will have SDSU Rowers posted where tickets are generally collected and will be confirming everyone coming into the theater against our RSVP/Ticket Holder list. Once confirmed, you will be allowed into the theater where seats are first come, first served.
